French flavours company Aromatech has opened a new facility in Thailand for the production of powder and liquid flavours.
The 1,500-square-metre site in Bangkok will allow the company to produce 500 tonnes a year. “The facility will create, produce and sell high-quality food flavours to meet customers’ needs and market requirements,” Aromatech said.
The company has been present in Thailand since 2003 but this latest development will allow it to significantly step up production in the region.
Aromatech is a leading producer of flavours to a cross-spectrum of food and beverage categories. The group operates five production facilities in Tunisia, Turkey, Algeria, Thailand and the US, and is involved in joint ventures in China and Turkey.
The sites help it to support an extensive network of customers in more than 50 countries around the world.
In July last year, the flavours and fragrances producer inaugurated its eighth flavour production facility in the US. Aromatech Flavorings started production out of the new facility in Orlando, Florida last summer.
The 10,000 square feet production plant is the answer to shorter production and development lead times, Aromatech said at the time. The facility is used to create, produce and sell high-quality food flavours to meet customers’ needs and market requirements.
