The Grand All Image Award recognises the top public relations programme in Central Florida (US) and was presented at the association’s annual Image Awards gala.
In 2011, FDF partnered with the Florida Division of Library and Information Services to provide a free reading programme across the state. The programme was themed around Allison Investigates: Does Chocolate Milk Come from Brown Cows? – an educational children’s book that portrays dairy farming and the milk production process.
The programme featured a seven-stop library tour, during which a local dairy farmer, along with a calf, provided an interactive and educational opportunity for kids and parents to learn about the dairy industry.
FDF provided 75 ‘do-it-yourself’ reading programme kits, reaching 61% of libraries in Florida and also provided Spanish-language copies of the accompanying book to libraries located in areas with a high Hispanic population.
