It will provide formulation support to the Nordic food and nutrition customers and is an extension of the activities carried out at the IMCD Food & Nutrition Technical Centre in Mechelen, Belgium.
It will combine functional ingredient and processing advice allowing the Nordic Food & Nutrition team to bring ready to use tools to the market.
Managing director, IMCD Nordic, Didrik von Porat: “By doing so, IMCD is further strengthening our formulation approach and enhancing IMCD’s ability to adequately evaluate the food and nutrition ingredients and processes which can contribute to a successful end formulation for our Nordic customer base.”
As with the other IMCD laboratories, the Food & Nutrition Nordic team plans to hold seminars and workshops at the laboratory. This provides IMCD’s supply partners with a unique opportunity to introduce new products to the market and for customers to bring forward their specific formulation requirements.
IMCD expects that the new laboratory and its activities will not only create synergies within the available portfolio but will also enhance processing insights, with the right functional ingredients, to balanced recipes and processing parameters.
