British frozen yogurt brand Lick has revealed plans to launch its first ever album on its own record label later this month.
The brand has teamed up with five-piece Brighton band Octopuses to release the album Yes Please, available from 20 November on CD and digitally nationwide. It is the first full-length studio album from Lick Music, a hobby label started by Lick employees described as “the only independent record label whose budgets vary depending on the price of milk”.
The project extends Lick’s relationship with music: it has previously been hosting live music sessions from its frozen yogurt shop and warehouse for a number of years.
A bizarre video for the single Girl, from the new album, shows a man’s horror at discovering dismembered parts of the women that he loves at various locations in Brighton, where Lick is based.
WARNING: This video contains mild gore.
The album is currently available to pre-order through Resident Records.
