Gatorade Tiger Focus, which first hit retail shelves in 2008, was positioned as a sports drink that would help to improve focus, as part of the Gatorade range aimed at athletes.
The company marketed the drink formula’s ingredients, 25% more electrolytes than Gatorade’s signature Thirst Quencher, as helpful in boosting mental focus.
“We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010,” said a company statement.
Gatorade Tiger Focus hasn’t been a strong performer: volume slid 34% in the first 10 months of this year, according to Beverage Digest.
