The awards were judged by a panel of over 50 judges including food experts, writers, technologists and chefs on criteria including taste, flavour and innovation.
This year’s awards were shortlisted into 38 categories with over 200 products. Glorious! beat New Covent Garden’s Mexican Chipotle Chicken and three own label brands, two from ASDA and one from Sainsbury’s to win the title for the second year in a row.
The success follows a year of growth for the brand, which has added two new ranges and two new soup flavours to its A-Z of Global Flavours inspired collection of soups, Skinny Soups, pasta sauces and, from this year, Skinny Dips and a hearty stew range.
Mandy Taylor, commercial director, Glorious!, said: “Winning with Sunny Thai Chicken is a great accolade as it’s a sign of what we do best – great fresh food. This ties up a brilliant year for us in which we’ve successfully tried out new products in the retail space and built on the successes we’ve had with our soups and sauces.”
