NFF president, Jock Laurie, said that GrainGrowers has been providing leadership and grower-focused services to the grains industry for over four decades.
Laurie said: “Today, the NFF is pleased to welcome GrainGrowers into the NFF family. The NFF exists to provide a united voice for farmers in agricultural policy development, lobbying, advocacy and debate on a national level. We are a step closer to achieving this for the Australian grains industry.”
The grains industry is one of the largest agricultural industries in Australia, with over 25,000 grain growers and a contribution of some $10bn in gross agricultural value to the economy in the past year.
