The move is designed to help the Malaysian beer and stout company improve its sales operations. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will implement the Accenture CAS software platform to help GAB deliver an improved distributor management system and gain enhanced insights into the performance of its in-store promotions.
As a result, GAB will be able to forecast demand more accurately, track and measure the success of its marketing activities, and drive increased sales, the company said.
The Accenture CAS software platform will replace multiple systems currently in use at GAB. It will offer the brewer a consistent sales platform that is fully integrated into its overall IT landscape, enabling better returns on commercial investments, streamlined business processes, greater efficiency and simplicity, according to the company.
Charles Ireland, managing director of GAB, said: “The Accenture CAS software platform stood out as a clear winner when we considered the functionality, usability, scalability and cost.
“Accenture has a proven track record of similar implementations in the consumer goods industry and a clear understanding of our business. Once the solution is implemented, our infrastructure will truly be world-class, and consistent with our vision of becoming an icon in business.”
