Tilia sources ‘the best produce from young innovators’, including the burgeoning street food community and established businesses.
Tilia was founded by Rob Ford, a former City worker turned food entrepreneur. He has launched the service on the core philosophy that the best produce comes from artisans with skill, provenance and passion.
“The idea for Tilia was born when I moved to Islington and for the first time was exposed to the great British produce available from the amazing artisans in London’s villages,” said Ford. “I knew that it was difficult for people living outside of these areas to regularly access this amazing food and drink, so I wanted to create a solution that connected these businesses with all food lovers. Tilia became that solution.
“After our London launch, we plan to grow our distribution area and will enlist the best regional artisans in the country to support this expansion.”
Currently only available in London, the team behind Tilia has ambitious growth plans and hopes to expand the service nationwide following launches in every major city in the UK.
