The scheme is open to youngsters aged between 9-13 who are crazy about the Red Sox.
Hood spokesperson Lynne Bohan, said: “Our departing Kid Nation Captains had fun-filled and extremely productive two-year terms, but it is time for us to bring in a new group of eager and enthusiastic young Red Sox fans.”
Each Captain must be willing to commit to a two-year term, during which he or she will develop and implement a community service project that will be supported by Hood, the Red Sox and all of Kid Nation.
Red Sox Kid Nation presented by Hood was created in 2004 and has grown to become the largest kids’ club in Major League Baseball with approximately 12,000 members.
The club offers young Red Sox fans an opportunity to be a part of the team and enjoy contests, gear and discounts for New England products and events. They also have the chance to participate in special events and meet Red Sox players.
