With the acquisition Huhtamäki continued to implement its strategy of quality growth and significantly strengthens its position as a global provider of high quality foodservice packaging products, the company said.
Josco’s net sales in 2011 were approximately €70m and it employs approximately 1,350 people in China and Hong Kong. The acquired business will be consolidated into the Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania segment as of 1 April.
