Canadian bottle company Ice River Springs have opened a new multi-million dollar bottled water plant in Quebec, Canada.
The plant is Ice River Springs’ 13th in North America, and will allow the company to increase its bottling capacity for its private label customers, as well as for Ice River Green, a brand made of 100 per cent recycled polyethylene terephthalat.
Executive vice-president of Ice River Springs Sandy Gott said: “We are thrilled to open a brand new facility in Lachute, it will enable us to provide high quality bottled water to our customers in Quebec and the Maritimes using shorter transportation routes helping us to further reduce our carbon footprint
“We are also very pleased to become a part of the local community and to create 21 jobs in Lachute.”
The company said the facility will employ state-of-the-art technologies and processes including efficient manufacturing, plastic recycling, energy savings and environmental stewardship.
