The Bronx Brewery won the Best beer category with Bronx Pale Ale.
Damian Brown, president and master brewer, said: “We are excited to have won such a prestigious award. Having the quality of our beer and our company’s story recognised by others in the food and beverage industry is a tremendous honour, and in particular, as a small business, will help accelerate the growth of our nascent brand.
“We are currently expanding our sales footprint and will leverage this award to introduce our beer to new customers and new markets in the NYC area.
“Our next specialty pale ale is due out in December. If you are in the NYC area, keep an eye out for the Bronx Black PA. Also, we are finalising the plan on our new brewing facility in the Bronx, slated to open 2013. We will have expanded capacity and a taproom for visitors. Stay tuned for details!”

Kathleen Burns, assoc director, national brand management for Winery Exchange, said: “We are thrilled with the award and the recognition it brings. Our goal in designing the Acronym GR8RW packaging was to engage wine consumers in a unique and dramatic way, and this award validates our efforts!
