Isklar has gained a significant retail presence since its UK launch in April 2008. The brand reinforced its premium positioning with a listing from February 2009 at Harrods, London’s prestigious department store. Isklar also plans to continue a promotional push in 2009 with £2.5m into marketing activities.
Isklar won the ‘Best Overall Concept’ award at the Water Innovation awards in September 2008. This gave the new brand a significant boost before the international launch of Isklar. An international panel of experts, made up of buyers and industry leaders, judged more than two hundred entries from forty two countries.
In recognition of its superior environmental credentials (the brand is produced in a plant which uses only hydro-electric power and the manufacturer claims to recycle ten bottles for every one it uses) and unique brand identity, Isklar was also awarded silver in both the best environmental and best newcomer categories.
