The funds were accepted by Janelle Hail, founder of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) during a ceremony presided over by the four local Jamba franchise operators responsible for the campaign.
Tara Lindstrom, director of marketing, Blended Star, the Jamba Juice franchisee who led the efforts in Salt Lake City, said: “We committed to building healthier communities in the Salt Lake City area and are exceptionally proud to see that commitment benefit others through this year’s Pink Whirl breast cancer donation programme.
“It was our goal to work together as a market to raise more than $25,000 for the cause and our customers came through. We are humbled by the gesture of support shown by our local communities and thrilled to present these funds to aid in promoting awareness and the early detection of breast cancer.”
