Meet the panel
Dr Lisa Carroll – Director of Technology at Rexam. Dr Carroll is responsible for innovation & technology globally across new products, core manufacturing process and future manufacturing plant.
Larry Hobbs – Executive director of the International Society of Beverage Technologists, the premier technical society of the beverage industry.
Dr Gail Barnes – Social media guru and independent consultant on sustainability, packaging and innovation.
Andy Black – Owner and CEO of Springetts Brand Design Consultants, who over the years have worked with some of Britain and the world’s best known brands. Today it is one of the UK’s leading brand design agencies. Andy uses his experience and strategic insight to solve many and diverse client challenges.
Mella Frewen – Director general of FoodDrinkEurope, representing Europe’s largest manufacturing industry, since July 2007. Mella Frewen has worked in the agri-food sector in Europe for 25 years. Her previous positions include director for government affairs EMEA at Monsanto, dealing with agricultural biotechnology, conventional agriculture and agri-chemistry.
Dominique Gagneux – leads the Rainforest Alliance’s sustainable markets initiatives globally and has 17 years’ experience in the field of sustainability consulting and assurance.
Claire Phoenix – FoodBev Media managing editor – magazines. Claire is responsible for editorial content across FoodBev Media’s magazine portfolio, including Beverage Innovation.
Jan Hermans – Secretary general of AIJN, the European Fruit Juice Association. He graduated in political and social sciences-journalism from the University of Gent and holds a degree in European law from the University of Brussels as well as an MA in international relations from the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC. He represents the AIJN in the Committee of Directors General at FoodDrinkEurope and is an executive committee member of the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers.
Roger Wilfinger – CEO ViCAP Systems, was educated as a chef then studied communication and marketing at the SAWI in Biel. Having sold his successful catering company to Kofler & Kompanie, he invested in ViCAP Systems in 2009 before taking over management in 2010.
Carlos Manuel Rebolledo – Development and marketing associate manager for Nuvinc Partners. Carlos has had more than 15 years’ experience creating concepts, developing brands and managing marketing departments for leading food and beverage companies.
Melianthe Leeman – Commercial Excellence and Innovation Leader, O-I Europe. In this role she is responsible for catalyzing, coordinating and commercialising innovation, and applying best in class commercial practices in the organisation. She joined O-I in December 2010, as the European Marketing Communications Manager and started her current role in 2012.
Adam Bogacz – Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of Healthy Food, a new organisation to promote healthy diets and health products. Adam is the owner of AKB Consulting, a consulting company dealing with new product development, PR and design for products, websites, POS, etc.
Bill Bruce – The chairman of the judges is group editorial director and co-founder of FoodBev Media.

World Beverage Innovation Awards
Now in its 11th year, the World Beverage Innovation Awards@BrauBeviale is in association with BrauBeviale, the world’s largest beverage industry trade event.
The awards feature 26 categories from product categories, including:

Plus, categories for:

The 2014 awards, presented at BrauBeviale, attracted over 325 entries from 40 countries in 26 categories.
The award’s headline sponsor is global beverage can maker Rexam. The associate sponsors are Owens-Illinois and ViCap Systems. Category sponsors include PET Engineering, SmartSeal, Hiperbaric and Austria Juice.
Entries for the World Beverage Innovation Awards@BrauBeviale close on 22 September 2015. Finalists and winners will be announced at a special event during BrauBeviale on 11 November 2015, in Nuremberg, Germany.
