Krones has upgraded its capabilities for the dairy industry by “synergising” its operations involving plant construction and service support under its new subsidiary, Milkron.
The German company hopes that the move will allow it to raise its profile for process technology in the dairy industry, and as a result become a leading player in the sector.
Milkron, headquartered in Laatzen near Hanover, will focus on the engineering of production lines for all liquid to paste-like dairy products. Its performative skills cover planning, project management, automation, installation, plus commissioning and acceptance-testing of the equipment on site.
The new subsidiary of Krones began business operation at the start of last month.
“The aim over the next few years is to make Milkron a can-do team, and to bring on board highly qualified staff for this purpose,” said Ralf Goldbrunner, the member of Krones’ executive board responsible for this sector.
