The company was established in 1983 by brothers Philip and John Tomlinson and currently processes around 25 million litres of milk each year, using milk from around 30 local farms.
Due to increasing demand for Welsh milk, Tomlinson’s has outgrown its current factory and is in the process of building a new 70,000 square feet factory nearby. This new dairy, which will be commissioned in the summer of 2011, will have capacity to expand production to 100 million litres per annum, creating a potential 70-80 new jobs in the area.
Philip Tomlinson said: “We are excited by the current development, which will see us doubling processing capacity as soon as the new factory is commissioned, with the long-term potential to grow to 100m litres per annum.”
