US-based Lifeway Foods, maker of the probiotic beverage Kefir, is launching its first ever seasonal flavour; Cranberry Creme Brulee Kefir.
Positioned as an alternative to eggnog, the new beverage features vanilla custard and caramelised sugar, as well as tangy cranberry. Cranberry Creme Brulee Kefir contains just 160 calories and 2 grams of fat per serving. The drink also includes 10 exclusive live and active cultures that work to help build and restore immunity, improve digestion and help fight off cold and flu bugs.
CFO Edward Smolyansky said: “Our hope is that seasonal flavours become an annual tradition for us at Lifeway and something that our customers look forward to each year.”
Julie Smolyansky, CEO commented: “Our Kefir customers have been asking for a special holiday version for years, so we have been working to develop just the right flavour profile.”
