Roasted flavoured seed brand Munchy Seeds has revealed plans to launch a range of healthy snacks and breakfast toppers in outlets of supermarket chain Sainsbury’s.
The range of snacks launching in Sainsbury’s this month consists of honey seeds, chilli bites and omega sprinkles in 25g sachets; chocolate ginger and chocolate apricot in 50g snack packs; honey seeds in 100g tubs; and chilli bites and omega sprinkles in 125g tubs.
Designed as a snack for consumers seeking healthier alternatives, Munchy Seeds provide a versatile way to incorporate nutritionally dense seeds into mealtimes.
The expansion follows Munchy Seeds’ launch into online supermarket Ocado last month, having previously secured a listing with premium retailer Waitrose.
Munchy Seeds founder Lucinda Clay said: “Munchy Seeds is deeply rooted in our family history, from my childhood days of running around the fields on granny’s farm, energised from snacking on seeds, to my parents taking the seeds to sell at market, to even our daughter munching on seeds at the factory in the early days of production. We are thrilled to be sharing our family snack, along with a bit of our story, and after the success of Ocado and Waitrose we are now expanding to a wider audience through Sainsbury’s. What started as my granny trying to keep us out of the sweetie jar is now a nutritious nibble for the UK!”
