Set in the 1960’s, the new advertisement shows Patak’s chairman, Kirit Pathak, as an 11 year old at the family’s London spice warehouse. The ad aims to build on the success of the brand’s previous campaign, (which featured six year old Kirit Pathak delivering curry to neighbours) in delivering key messages and increasing brand awareness.
Marketing manager at Patak’s, Clarissa Wortley, said: “The unique blends of spices that have been passed down through generations of the Pathak family, are at the very heart of the Patak’s brand. The new ad brings this concept to life in a fun and memorable continuation of the Kirit Pathak story, highlighting the heritage of the brand. Consumers can rely on the spice expertise that goes into creating each Patak’s product, allowing them to re-create the Indian restaurant experience at home any day of the week.”
The new ad, created by JWT, will be on air between November and December 2011 and again from February to March next year.
