PG Tips, together with We Are Social, has developed a Facebook app called ‘To Monkey with Love’. The app enables users to create a postcard, complete with PG Tips branding and a caption, to send to Monkey showing him where they have been enjoying PG Tips.
PG Tips fans will be able to vote for their favourite postcards and the winner will receive tickets for a family outdoor adventure experience at Go Ape along with a year’s supply of tea.
Tana Walker, PG Tips brand executive at Unilever UK, said: “PG Tips’ Facebook page has the most engaged Facebook community in the UK. By introducing this fun campaign platform, we will encourage new fans to engage with the brand as well as drive further engagement from our existing audience.”
The new social media campaign is part of the £13m spend for the PG Tips brand during 2012.
