The Royal Warrant is granted to those that have served the Royal Households for a minimum of five years, demonstrate the highest standards of quality in their service and supply, and have a workable and substantiated environmental policy.
Foodspeed started trading with a vision to supplying the hospitality and catering trade with quality dairy products of traceable provenance with a dedicated, personal, high level of service, according to the company.
This year, Foodspeed celebrates its 10-year anniversary. Over the past decade, they have developed an affinity with clients from across the top-end of the London hospitality sector, supplying a number of Michelin star restaurants, high-profile institutions and five star hotels from their distribution centre in West London (UK).
Foodspeed sources all its fresh milk and cream from independent family suppliers in Hampshire and Gloucestershire and also puts great emphasis on supporting independent and artisan producers. This local, independent sourcing also contributes significantly to their plan of being the greenest dairy supplier in London and the Home Counties.
Bobby Bawa, managing director of Foodspeed, said: “We are delighted and privileged to have been granted the Royal Warrant. Our commitment to sourcing local and British produce has gone hand in hand with our efforts to be a more sustainable business and this has allowed us to supply chefs with ingredients that meet their exacting standards. Having London and the Home Counties as our focal area of distribution also makes it possible for us to react quickly to our clients’ requirements to deliver products on time and in perfect condition.”
In addition to fresh milk and cream, Foodspeed offers a wide range of products which includes a wide variety and sizes of butter, premium yogurts, an extensive selection of UK and continental cheese as well as fresh eggs and egg products, fresh juices, bread, and other associated ingredients. They also have a selection of free range and organic products options.
