“We shall lift all limitations regarding poultry in late February,” said Russia’s chief veterinarian Nikolai Vlasov at a news conference. “By that time, there will no be fears about dioxin in the meat.”
The ban on pork will not be lifted until late March at the earliest. Vlasov also mentioned that pork imports were not banned fully. The ban doesn’t apply to pork produced before 1 November 2010, and for “young pork grown after the incident”, he said.
