Semo Packaging has launched a new resealable food packaging solution made from mono-material that offers better preservation of food products for longer.
Fresh’Closure is described as “a pioneering film” with an innovative drawstring system for easy opening and closure. The innovation addresses the lack of user-friendliness, extensive re-closure times, poor product preservation, broken films and lost ties of conventional re-closable food packaging for products such as bread.
“Even with repetitive use, the product retains its freshness and most of its nutritional properties,” Semo Packaging said.
Fresh’Closure was designed to be 100% recyclable and reusable, and easily recognisable on shelf. Its production process, which requires less material, also makes it possible to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
A brand spokesperson said: “With the current emphasis on avoiding food waste, the preservation of foodstuffs has become a major challenge. A badly closed product is more at risk from humidity, dirt or mould and consequently ends up in the bin more quickly. A badly stored product is also a product which poses a risk to health.”
