The cooperative first started producing cheese in 1959, 21 years after the dairy was established. Today, the creamery produces about 10,000 tonnes a year. The company will celebrate its 50th anniversary on its stand within the Food Hall at the Winter Fair.
To celebrate, and to look forward to the next 50 years, all visitors to their stand will be able to enter a Golden Anniversary free prize draw to win a cheese hamper!
Visitors to the stand will also be able to sample South Caernarfon’s broad product range that includes many award-winning cheeses, such as vintage Cheddars, Welsh Rarebit, Cheddar with leeks, Monterey Jack and their authentic Welsh Caerphilly (which scooped a top award at this year’s International Cheese Show in Nantwich, and has also been listed by all of the major supermarkets since its launch last year).
