Stella Artois has signed a five year deal to become the official beer and cider of golf’s Open Championship, which is due to be held at Royal Liverpool in 2014.
Anheuser-Busch InBev’s brand will benefit from exclusive pouring rights throughout future tournaments and the company will promote its partnership with The Open through on-pack promotions and digital marketing.
“At Stella Artois we have a huge appreciation for events that celebrate a real sense of occasion and excellence,” said Stella Artois UK marketing manager Phil Pick. “We are delighted to be a part of one of the biggest sporting events in the UK and look forward to showcasing our pouring ritual to the thousands of fans who will attend Royal Liverpool this July.”
