Intended for teens and young adults, Suso also hopes to get across its business vision, which is to encourage everyone, but especially children, to drink more healthily and think creatively.
To adults and the wider business world, the advert “encourages you to have a look at the little guy genuinely leading the fight-back in an effort to make fizzy drinks loved again by us all”, said a company statement.
Suso comes in three flavours – orange, lemon and berry – in 250ml can size and priced between £0.79 and £1 for the single can, and £3.49 for the six-pack.
The company also meets all government nutritional standards for drinks in schools, and is a voluntary member of the School Food Trust code of practice for food and drink in schools. Suso claims it is the “No 1 selling soft drink in all schools where listed (with some schools selling up to 1,500 cans a week!)”.
“We need healthier products that students pick up by choice,” said Richard Palombella, catering manager at Manchester Grammar School. “Suso is just the ticket.”
