Property agents, developers and landlords are invited to meet The Co-operative Food Property team at the regional events, which are being held in Bristol on 24 November, and Cardiff on 25 November.
The Co-operative has a rolling programme to open more than 300 UK food outlets over the next three years, employing over 7,000 people, and has up to 20 stores opening across the UK in the next few months, including new stores as far afield as Edinburgh, Devon and Newport, South Wales (UK).
The Co-operative is focusing on stores, either leasehold or freehold, between 2,000 and 18,000 sqft, particularly in high street and local community locations.
Earlier this year, The Co-operative also expanded its Food Property team in the South West and Wales, appointing Gareth Dexter as regional acquisitions manager for the South West, and John Hillman as regional acquisitions manager for South Wales.
Stuart Hookins, The Co-operative Food’s Head of Portfolio Strategy, acquisitions and disposals, said: “The Co-operative Food is forging ahead with its acquisitions programme to expand its estate, and we are specifically looking for new locations across the South West and Wales.
“We are actively searching for new opportunities to grow the business and this is a great opportunity to meet and work with agents, landlords and developers to identify the right properties in the right locations and in the heart of local communities across both these regions.”
