The Summit focused on: the rise and fall of the environmentalist campaign against bottled water with a presentation form Jan Bender: a global messaging position was presented by Michael Mascha; and new technologies, especially 2D barcodes were featured in a talk by Michael Mark from Iskilde.
In presentations, Simon Woolley (Antipodes) and Andre Jacques (Pedras) provided insights into designing an iconic brand or redesigning an existing iconic bottle; and Morten Kelsen form Qanik talked about harvesting ice. The problem of an inexpensive global distribution platform was the topic of a talk by Michael Tanousis from AquaAmore.
The science of bottled water health claims was featured in a presentation from medical researchers Dr Tiago Brandão, Dr Maria João Martins, Dr Rosario Monteiro and Prof Luís Cardoso Oliveira.
The Summit ended with a visit to the Pedras source and bottling plant, sponsored by Unicer and conducted by Andre Jacques.?
