The listing, which will cover all 56 restaurants, consists of five red, five white, two rosé and three sparkling wines. ViVAS was selected by TGI Friday’s with a view to modernising and injecting excitement into the range, and offering increased choice for its customers, the company said.
ViVAS’s link with Bibendum Wine enables it to capitalise on consumer insight data to help inform TGI Friday’s of the best fit for its customers.
TGI Friday’s customer base centres around younger couples, families and the party crowd so it was key to ensure that the range would deliver to each of these user groups, the company said.
The range includes some familiar favourites from Chile and Italy as well as new emerging varietals – Fiano & Malbec – which are less well known to the average drinker, but represent interest and value for money.
As part of the new range, the ViVAS category development team have visited each restaurant to train the TGI Friday’s teams and familiarise them with the new wines on the list. Training tools have also been developed and distributed for all members of the TGI’s teams to help sell the wines and instil greater confidence.
