The US Department of Commerce appointed Haataja to represent WQA on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee.
His term begins in January 2013 and ends in September 2014.
“Our members make outstanding products that solve water treatment problems and can compete worldwide if we have access to markets,” said Haataja. “On the ETTAC board, I’ll be pushing to make that happen.”
The ETTAC advises the Secretary of Commerce on trade competitiveness facing US providers of environmental solutions and on US programmes and policy to expand exports.
