The deal with Wellcome, which was assisted by Invest Northern Ireland’s team in China, has seen the company’s ‘Speedicook brand’, along with its microwaveable ‘Only Oats’ porridge and ‘Toasted Oats’ range on the shelves in Wellcome’s 240 supermarkets, which draw upwards of 14m shoppers every month.
Wellcome is part of Dairy Farm, Hong Kong’s biggest retailer, which is owned by Jardine Matheson. As well as growth in Hong Kong, White’s has seen export sales increase substantially in Spain, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Jordan and Dubai.
In the UK, White’s, which has been milling oats at Tandragee since 1841, has listings with many of the leading retailers, including Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
