Whitworths, the UK’s leading supplier of dried fruit, nuts and seeds, has announced the launch of its first ever TV campaign. Focused on Sunny Raisin the campaign is aimed to coincide with the school holidays and the back to school period.
The advert stars a skateboarding animated character called Sunny, highlighting the brand’s popular raisin range of the same name. The Sunny Raisin range currently constitutes 14% of the brand’s total sales in the children’s snacking category and 9.4% of total UK sales of such products.
Whitworths brand manager Matthew Wakelin said: “Our first move into kids TV advertising represents a significant financial investment for Whitworths. We feel the combination of the creative and focused media plan with our wider marketing and PR activity will really push the brand and the business forward in the months to come.”
