Swedish vodka brand Absolut has launched a refreshingly simple offering to market, in a bid to counteract what it has described as “artifical ready to drink” products.
Absolut Botanic is a mix of Absolut single-source Swedish vodka flavoured with traditional botanicals inspired by Swedish culture, creating a contemporary drink that’s slightly sparkling. All three variants of the range have an ABV of 5.7%.
They consist of Absolut Botanik berry lime, which combines blueberries, lime and cucumber in both 330ml bottle and 375ml can formats; berry pear, which features lingonberry, pear and rhubarb in 330ml bottles and 375ml cans; and berry apple, which consists of cloudberry, apple and vanilla in 330ml bottle format only.
The original production run was sold in the Australian market.
Lingonberries are popular in Scandinavia, often served as a relish alongside meat courses such as black pudding or meatballs; while cloudberries are a native berry to much of the arctic regions that is named for its appearance when ripe, and also turned into jam.
The Absolut Botanik range was first launched in Australia.
