Serious Pig has added new listings with BrewDog, airline operator EasyJet and online supermarket Ocado, as it significantly enhances both its on-trade and off-trade availability.
The new listings complement the brand’s existing range of stockists, which include Fortnum & Mason, Whole Foods, Picturehouse cinemas, and London City airport. The British charcuterie brand, which also manufactures a line of salami, will showcase its new chilli and ginger snacking ham at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London this week.
Since 2011, Serious Pig has sold nearly 1m snacking salamis through a variety of national retailers, independent farm shops and regional distributors, as it pursues its ethos of offering “craft not crap” to the UK’s snacking category.
Serious Pig co-founder George Rice said: “We’ve created authentic salami using British pork and carefully selected ingredients. I’m thrilled that we now have the chance to expand into different stores and bars and bring the snacking industry some serious competition.”
Rice and fellow co-founder Jonny Bradshaw have begun to build a charcuterie bar in Peckham, South East London, which will be opening later in the month.
