Costa Coffee has unveiled three new Seriously Summer concept stores across the UK to mark the start of summer and the launch of Costa’s new summer food and drink menu.
Three locations in London, Leeds and Glasgow have been specially chosen for refurbishment with a new tropical décor – including wall and table vinyls with tropical prints, neon pink signs, brightly patterned furnishings and even flamingos.
The flagship stores will have a selfie zones where customers can pose in a Miami-themed setting complete with sun loungers and fake grass, and will offer consumers the chance to win in-store pieces by tagging their pictures with the campaign’s hashtag.
And, to complete the look, Costa’s baristas will wear T-shirts specially designed by entertainment fashion website Refinery 29.
The concept stores have been introduced to accompany Costa’s new summer food and drink offering, which FoodBev first announced yesterday. The high-street chain has launched three new SuperDay smoothies and two varieties of wraps.
Caroline Harris, UK & Ireland marketing director for Costa, said: “We wanted to give select Costa stores a complete revamp to celebrate the start of summer and create an engaging environment for customers to enjoy our new summer menu. We hope the fresh look will encourage customers to see Costa as a seriously summer destination.”
