Botanical drinks producer Fentimans has re-launched its alcoholic ginger beer brand, Hollows, with a new gluten-free label.
The labelling gives increased promising to Hollows’ continuing gluten-free credentials, and is the first time that the brand has chosen to advertise this. The alcoholic version of their signature ginger beer has been available for many years but has seen an increase in sales in recent years with the craft beer trend expanding. It is especially popular in the US, the Northumberland-based company added.
“With more supermarkets introducing a ‘free from’ section we expect to see Hollows more widely available in the multiples as well as in outlets catering for specialist diets,” a brand spokesperson said.
Fentimans’ Eldon Robson continued: “When we started brewing drinks in 1905 we had never heard of gluten allergens, but as we move with the times it is something that is relevant to our customers and we want to create delicious drinks that everyone can enjoy.”
