The new advert features a collection of food moments that ‘simply aren’t the same without Heinz Tomato Ketchup’. 10 different versions of the commercial have been created to ensure the feature reflects local nuances when it comes to eating ketchup.
The UK advert, which will air on 1 October 2014 until the first week of December, sees Heinz Tomato Ketchup bringing a bacon sandwich to life when the sauce is spread onto the bread – one of five different food moments that feature in the advert. Meanwhile, the Polish version has a cheese and ham sandwich instead, and the French and Spanish cut features sauté potatoes and chicken fillets.
Heinz carried out extensive consumer research before creating the advert, which marks five years since the last advert, called Invisible Bottle, first aired in the UK.
The campaign also introduces for the first time the use of only Heinz Tomatoes in the recipe, which are specifically selected and grown from Heinz Seeds.
“We’re really excited about the new campaign,” said Lucy Cawkwell, European marketing manager, Heinz Tomato Ketchup. “It’s been a while since our last TV advert first aired, but we’re confident it’s been worth the wait.
“Heinz Tomato Ketchup has always been about putting that spark into mealtimes and we know from our research that for many of our consumers, some dishes simply aren’t complete without it. So our new campaign really celebrates that idea of bringing food to life and also champions the quality of the tomatoes that give our sauce its unmistakable taste.”
The advert will also feature a tag on at the end, highlighting the new Heinz Tomato Ketchup 50% Less Sugars variety, which went into stores during September 2014.
