Ramona’s Kitchen has expanded its Me Too! brand offering by launching a new range of products for both retail and foodservice.
The new additions include frozen falafel bags – available in original, sweet potato, and spinach and kale flavours – as well as a series of new flavours of its houmous, including turmeric and smoked houmous. They join the existing variants, which include original houmous, beetroot, jalapeño, red chilli, and lemon and coriander.
The brand has also capitalised on the trend for freeze-dried vegetable snacks, releasing crunchy chickpeas that it said were ‘set to be the new delicious snack food of choice for both the health-conscious and children’. The brand, inspired by the Mediterranean heritage of founder Ramona Hazan, was named after the calls of ‘me too’ from Hazan’s children to ensure that they weren’t left out of their mother’s great-tasting home cooking.
The crunchy chickpeas are available in five flavours: sweet, smoked paprika, miso salted, salt and vinegar, and wasabi.
Ramona’s Kitchen has also launched new freezable falafel bags.
Hazan said: “We have always felt at the forefront of innovative houmous varieties, incorporating trendy ingredients with added healthy benefits (like seaweed houmous). We pride ourselves on maintaining delicious, moreish, homemade flavours that keep our customers coming back for more. All our products are made to taste as though they were made in a small kitchen in the Med a few hours before. We create real recipes and use real methods of making the food – the results are in the eating.”
“[Making] our houmous is a three-day process and our falafel is a two-day process that allows us to guarantee the quality. We are super excited about the crunchy chickpeas; they are a healthy snack that’s better than nibbling on a bag of crisps – and this is the perfect year to launch them.”
