Sweden-based SKF has launched a range of food-grade lubricants that could potentially increase the safety and reliability of applications in the food and beverage industry.
“Good lubrication management practices are vital for our food and beverage customers,” said Jean Christophe Brossard, global manager, food & beverage segment, SKF. “Lubrication influences efficiency of assets and energy consumption while inappropriate practices can impact food safety.
“Launching these lubricants is strengthening SKF’s ability to support customers with food-grade lubricants plant-wide, in line with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) processes.
“Combined with our lubrication systems, re-lubrication free solutions and lubrication management knowledge, this gives our customers many options for optimising lubrication management on site.”
SKF’s new products are built to help resist wear, friction, corrosion and oxidation and are NSF/H1, kosher and halal approved.
