American beer maker Two Roads Brewing will make its way to the UK, after importer and distributer James Clay announced the Connecticut-based brewer’s beers as the latest addition to its expanding portfolio.
Beer fans across the UK will be able to enjoy Ol’ Factory Pils, a continental pilsner that boasts lemony notes; Lil’ Heaven, a session IPA with flavours of tropical fruits, specifically passionfruit, grapefruit and apricots; Worker’s Comp, which is described as “an intensely fruity saison”; and Honeyspot Road, an IPA that uses wheat as the dominant malt backbone to accentuate the citrus hop character.
The new relationship with Two Roads will see James Clay supply the UK’s demand for US-brewed beers, which it said have grown to become “firm favourites” among consumers.
The brewery, which was founded in 2012 by a group of four friends, boasts a “road less travelled” philosophy, which has led to an extensive beer line-up that takes a unique twist on classic beer styles.
Matthew Eyre, head of sales for James Clay, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to bring Two Roads’ selection of craft beers to the UK and further expand our US craft brewery offering. Even though Two Roads is a relatively new brewery, the quality of its beers is borne from a hugely experienced team and we firmly believe Two Roads is destined to become a world class brewery in the future.
“The addition of another great US brewery means that beer lovers throughout the UK will have even more choice when it comes to trying the best flavour-first beers.”
