An American innovator has created a new range of flax seed-based speciality coffees and brewed beverages, which it has said will offer consumers the proven health benefits of flax in their morning cup of coffee for the first time anywhere in the world.
Flax Coffee Company has used the noted health benefits of flax to create a variety of artisan coffee, roasted in a Loring roaster for its Flavor-Lock roast process technology that imparts the finished coffee with the best possible flavour.
The Las Vegas-based innovator has also produce a light-bodied flax brew, which brings consumers a blend of pure-roasted flax.
While the health-conscious coffee is made using 100% Arabica beans, the flax brew uses only the purest quality flax seeds, grown and roasted in North America. The new superfood brew can be easily made in any traditional coffee maker – and both new products will give people the chance to enjoy the best flavour from flax seeds, without the acid stomach burn commonly associated with coffee.
Flax seed has a high content of omega-3, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and lignans, which combine to support weight loss and improve cardiovascular health, among other benefits.
In addition to the health benefits of flax, the flax seeds help to neutralise the acidity of coffee, making it easier to drink.
