Yuengling’s Ice Cream has unveiled two super-premium additions to its range of flavours – including a new ‘butterbeer’ ice cream.
The latest flavour is inspired by a fictional beverage from a popular series of books, and is based on a 430-year-old beer-based recipe that Yuengling’s has adapted, minus the beer, to create its own version. The ice cream is made from half buttercream ice cream and half butterscotch ice cream, with a butterscotch swirl.
It will join a new strawberry flavour, which was added to Yuengling’s 18-strong flavour range ‘by popular demand’.
The brand said that the classic variety of ice cream ‘has been a consistent request since the brand relaunched in 2014’.
David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream, said: “We are always looking for ways to inspire our fans and spark creativity. Whether it’s our flavour names and descriptions or the recipes themselves, we’re in the business of having fun. We hope we made [butterbeer fans] proud with this flavour.”
The two new flavors are currently available in pints, with quarts being made available in the coming months.
