UK-based Union Hand-Roasted Coffee has introduced a new cold brew made with single-origin coffee from Guatemala.
Sourced directly from the smallholder farmers of Esquipulas cooperative in Guatemala, Union cold brew is slowly steeped in small batches for 24 hours to maximise flavour and enhance the rich notes of dark chocolate.
The beverage has no sugar or additives as is marketed as pre- or post-workout refreshment and designed to be “the ultimate summer serve”.
Union’s cold brew can be enjoyed neat, with a splash of milk, split with tonic or ginger ale, or mixed up in a coffee cocktail.
Dave Law, creator of Union Brew Lab Cold Brew, said: “There’s nothing quite like a cold coffee on a hot summer’s day, our new cold brew offers a refreshing caffeine kick in a convenient and easy grab on the go bottle. As with all our coffee, the beans we use for our cold brew are completely traceable from seed to cup.”
Union sources its coffee via Union Direct Trade, a model which sees the company build long-term relationships with farmers in coffee-growing communities.
Union Hand-Roasted cold brew is now available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £2.75.
