Brighter Foods has expanded its Wild Trail snack brand in the UK with a new sweet and salty bar made from five ingredients.
The vegan bar is created from sea salt, raisins, peanuts, gluten-free oats and apple juice concentrate (100% apple).
Wales-based Brighter Foods said the Wild Trail range of bars is targeted at consumers looking for free-from and natural products to snack on-the-go, as well as those with active lifestyles looking for a natural source of energy and sustenance.
“We’ve had fantastic feedback on the taste and quality of our existing range so we had to raise the bar yet again when developing our sweet and salty variant,” said Robin Williams, Wild Trail CEO.
The full Wild Trail portfolio consists of four flavours: cacao, seed and nut, carrot cake, and sweet and salty.
“We’re delighted that we’ve been able to incorporate Halen Môn Anglesey sea salt, a quality Welsh ingredient, whilst also sticking to our brand principle of using only five natural ingredients per bar.”
The new flavour is initially launching in a 46g single bar format with a recommended retail price of £1 and will follow with a 4x30g multipack format (RRP £2.30).
All Wild Trail bars are gluten free, dairy free, have no added sugar and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Other flavours in the portfolio include cacao, carrot cake, and seed and nut.
