Aaron Corbett has been appointed as the new CEO of US-based meat company DuBreton USA and its North Country Smokehouse subsidiary.
North Country Smokehouse markets a range of artisan meat products in the US, which are available in many major US retailers. The company was acquired by DuBreton USA in 2015.
Corbett was appointed as the COO of North Country Smokehouse following the acquisition, and his primary task was to scale efficiencies at the company’s main production facility, maintain exceptional quality standards and oversee entry into new retail markets.
In his new role, Corbett will contribute to the strategic planning and development for both companies, and he will oversee daily operations, sales, marketing and management of the smokehouse.
Aaron Corbett said: “It’s an exciting time for North Country Smokehouse. For decades, the company focused solely on Foodservice. We’re committed to maintaining those partnerships but realize there’s a growing consumer demand for sustainable, smoked meats.
“Our relationship with duBreton gives us an advantage over other producers. We’re vertically integrated, so we’re not exposed to the risks associated with sourcing meat from outside our own network.
“That means our farming, feed & husbandry standards are never compromised, which positively impacts consumers and customer partners.”
