Snack manufacturer Kind is entering the breakfast category this April with the introduction of a range of breakfast bars.
Designed for consumers looking for a healthy, on-the-go breakfast option, Kind’s new range are pocket sized and will be available in three variants: Blueberry Almond, Peanut Butter and Honey Oat.
Each bar is soft-baked and features a base of five whole grains including oats, millet, buckwheat, amaranth and quinoa.
The Honey Oat bar is the first in the Kind product portfolio to not contain nuts.
Each variant is reportedly gluten free and high in fibre, and each 50g pack contains two bars.
John McManus, UK marketing director, said: “We know there’s a huge opportunity for us here in the UK to bring our expertise to the on-the-go breakfast category.
“We’re really excited to see our latest launch roll out nationwide from next month and it’s fantastic to have such strong support from our retail partners.”
Kind Breakfast bars will be available in single and multipack formats for an RRP of £1.29 and £2.99 respectively. The range will launch into Waitrose stores from 1 April before rolling out across Tesco, Ocado and Sainsburys amongst other independent stores in the UK.
Last month, Kind announced the launch of frozen and refrigerated bars and grain-free versions of its bars as part of its “biggest innovation expansion ever”.
