I must have read about at least a dozen variations on this theme, from portable machines that hydrate troops to nets that trap dew in the wind. Well, I admit to being a doubter. Most are too much bother for too little water.
Clearly, it helps to have a humid climate, but then you need power, treatment and storage, not to mention transport, containers and distribution.
We had a machine on trial in one of our offices, but the volume and taste were poor. Now a Malaysian company has teamed up with a Saudi Arabian businessman and anticipates being an instant hit.
Will this be the one? One has to wish it well.
