UK producer of premium snacks, Burts Potato Chips, is introducing a new Christmas flavour, Roast Turkey & Chestnut Stuffing. The new crisps will launch in Aldi and One Stop in 150g packets from 20 November until 31 December 2014, RRP £1.99. There will be a price promotion of £1 at launch.
“Roast Turkey and Chestnut Stuffing is our most festive offering to date,” said marketing director Leane Bramhall. “With Christmas being a key trading period for the snacks category, we wanted to create a crisp that would drive consumer engagement with the Burts brand as well as offer strong sales opportunities for our retailers.”
Currently worth £14.7m, compared to £12.9m at the close of 2012, Burts Chips is experiencing another strong year of sales, achieving a 14% increase in turnover and 280% increase in profit in the past year. In addition, with the crisp and snacks sector currently flat, Burts is currently gaining value ahead of the current market growth.
